<div itemprop="description">FLANAGAN-GREGORIO: Catherine Ruth, of Chatham, passed away at the CKHA, Public General Campus on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Born in Chatham 83 years ago, daughter of the late Herman Cartier and Margaret Kennedy. Her husband Robert &quot;Bob&quot; predeceased in 1991. Catherine married Vicente Gregorio in 1998. Surviving are her husband Vicente Gregorio and sons Timothy and wife Judy of Chatham, Michael and wife Dede of Surrey, BC, Kevin and partner Kevin Banger of Erin,ON and Jamie and wife Nancy of Brockville, one daughter Linda and husband Dan Lucier of Grande Pointe. Grandchildren Shawn, Ryan and Sarah Flanagan, Courtney, Jeremy and Jordan Flanagan, Joshua Lucier, Stewart, David, Clare and Thomas McMahon. Step-daughter Virginia and husband Doug Wigle of Merlin, 3 Step-sons Joe and wife Sherry Gregorio of London, Vincent and wife Kim Gregorio of London and Eric and wife Brook of Lambeth. Step-grandchildren Aaron and Cassidy. Two sisters Vera Sadler of Chatham and Mary Lou and husband Deacon Vern Bechard of Markham and many special nieces and nephews. 2 step-sisters Lilia and husband Ding Data and family of Guelph, Cora and husband Joe Zafra of Michigan, 2 step-brother Jose and wife Ella Gregorio and family and Cecilio Sr. and wife Grace Gregorio and family of Guelph plus several other family members in the Philippines. Also surviving is her step-mother in-law Visitation Gregorio of the Philippines. Predeceased by brothers Ed, Wilfred, Henry, Alfred, Harry and Robert Cartier, sisters Helen Powell, Julia Wilmore, Clara Kiekens and Shirley Powers. Catherine was a member of St. Ursula's C.W.L. for over fifty years and was a volunteer at Outreach for Hunger, St. Andrew's Residence and a member of the Moose Lodge, She was the founder of the Maple City Center for Older Adults opening its doors August 1st, 1970 on Queen Street. The Center is now called &quot;The Active Lifestyle Center&quot;. Catherine was the managing director there for 29 years. The Center was her home away from home and always was passionate in serving her community through the Center. Friends will be received at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham (519-352-2390) for visitation on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home Tuesday at 3:00pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ursula's Church, 205 Tweedsmuir Avenue W., Chatham on Wednesday, May 15 at11:00am with celebrants Rev. Fr. Richard Cartier, Rev. Fr. Matt Kucharski, Deacon Vern Bechard and Deacon Steve Cartier. Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Chatham. It certainly seems fitting that after eighteen years of giving Christmas Angels our mom gives herself as her last angel.
