<div itemprop="description">SETON: David Coleman. Passed away on February 21, 2015 at St. Andrew&rsquo;s Residence in Chatham, surrounded by family. David was 90. Gone to join his beloved wife Marlene (Rabideau) (2009). Wonderful father of Catherine Seton and Todd Hoffman of Toronto; Warren Seton and Beryl (Forsyth) of Chatham; Brian Seton and Margaret (Shea) of Chatham. Taken too soon from grandchildren David Jonathan (Chantelle Bilodeau), Matthew, Christopher and Edward. Survived by his sister Audrey Howe, brother Gordon Seton (Angela) and many nieces and nephews, all of England. Predeceased by his sister Irene Conlon, his brother Derek Seton, and his cousin Lenore Seton. Missed by his sisters-in-law Mary Rabideau and Elizabeth &ldquo;Betty&rdquo; (Robert) Baker, his brother-in-law Harland Rabideau, and their children. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Ella Rabideau and his brother-in-law Clarence &ldquo;Guy&rdquo; Rabideau. David emigrated to Canada from England in 1949 after serving with the R.A.F. in India and Java. He loved to sing, write, fish, play sports, think positive and solve challenges. David promoted soccer and badminton in Chatham as a player, coach, referee, convenor and Chatham Daily News columnist. In 2002 he was inducted into the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame. David was the leadership and organizational force behind three generations of Chatham youth advancement, charity fund-raising and community building through The United Way, Oxfam, Meals on Wheels, Sing-Out Kent and Junior Achievement. In 2012 David was awarded The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. David worked as Personnel Manager at Imperial Oil Limited and then served as Corporate Treasurer and Director of Chatham Coach Lines. He enjoyed many years worshipping with St. Paul&rsquo;s Congregational Church. Special thanks to St. Andrew&rsquo;s Residence staff, to Cary Legg and Amanda Tope from VHA Home Health Care, and to the Palliative Care Consultation Team for your compassion and support. Our gratitude to Brenda from Alzheimer Society Chatham-Kent and to St. Andrew&rsquo;s Residence community for your kindness and friendship. Friends will be received at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave. Chatham (519-352-2390) for visitation on Thursday February 26 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday February 27 at 11:00 a.m. with Sheila McKinley O.S.U. presiding. No perfume please, due to family sensitivities. Interment at New St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham. If desired, contributions to St. Andrew&rsquo;s Residence-Chatham Foundation or Meals on Wheels Chatham-Kent.<br /><br /></div>
