<div itemprop="description">ROFFELSEN: Mr. Henry Roffelsen Sr., a resident of Chatham, died peacefully in the arms of family at his home on Thursday, November 14, 2013. Born in The Netherlands, Henry was 83 years of age. He was the much beloved husband of Brenda and the late Cora who passed away in 2004. He was also the beloved father of daughter Louisa and sons Henry Jr., Benjamin and John and the loving Opa of Alexandra, Phillip and Dominic. He was also the loving father in law of Fred who passed away in 2008 and Lisa. He was also a loving stepfather to Tommy, Wendy, Tammy and Hans and loving Opa to Travis, Ashton, Emery and Chloe. Loving son in law to Ida Yoos. Dear brother in law to Lynda and Joe DeLima, Judy VanDaele and Betty and Ralph Elliot. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Henry Sr. was a musician, watchmaker and diamond merchant and the owner of Roffelsen Jewellers, which he proudly ran with his family for over 54yrs. He was also a proud member of both the Rotary Club of Chatham and The Royal Canadian Legion. He served his community well. On wings of eagles he has flown to heaven and is now a bright shining star in the sky to guide us. He will be sorely missed by all. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 27 at 2:00pm at Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., Chatham (519-352-2390).
