<div itemprop="description">TIMMERMAN, Kornelis (Case): Called home by his heavenly Father at the age of 81 on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. A resident of Chatham.Beloved husband for 57 years of Jessie. Loving father of Martin (Cathy), Arthur (Sharon), Letty, Ken, Gary (Galya), John (Jody) and Jeanne. Wonderful Opa to Heidi, Katie, Megan (Simeon), Amy (Tyler), Nicholas, Evan, Andrew, Elise, Anastasia and Robert. Great-Opa to Sophie. Case was born April 24, 1931 in the village of Hijken, Drenthe, Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1949. He is survived by one sister, Henny Lankhof. Predeceased by his parents Martinus Timmerman and Jantje Nijmeijer, a brother Jacob and a sister Alice Pietens. Case spent 29 years of his working life as a gardener at Southwestern Regional Centre, Cedar Springs, ON, retiring in 1991 to spend many years enjoying his yard and gardens on Indian Creek Road, Chatham. In retirement he also shared 7 years with Jessie and many friends at South Chatham Village. The family will receive friends at the BOWMAN FUNERAL HOME, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham (519-352-2390) on Wednesday, December 5 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A private interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham prior to the service. The memorial service to celebrate Case's life will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, Tweedsmuir Avenue, Chatham on Thursday, December 6 at 11:00am with Pastor Jack Kerkhof officiating.Contributions to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance or charity of your choice would be appreciated.</div>
