<div itemprop="description">BABCOCK: Winnifred Lenora, of Chatham, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015. Born in Chatham 98 years ago on January 9th 1917, daughter of the late James Reid and Edith Genge. Beloved wife of the late Ross Babcock (1964). Loving mother of Larry (2007) and Dorothy, their children Alexandra and Todd, daughter Allegra; Whitney and Rob, Courtney and Miles, sons Ridley and Hudson, Blair and Christy, children Sierrah and Rhodes; Dennis and Elaine, their children Ross and Lisanne, children Taylor and Acoy, Amy and Rick, children Maddie and Trevor, Stacey and Jamie, children Bailey and Dani, Heather and Matt (2013), children Elisha and Cooper; Rick and Vicki their son David; Shelley and Bob Chinnick their children Niki and Joe, Jarod and Elecia, children Ava and Rhys, Holly and Jordan, children Juliet and newborn Liam. Dear sister of Robert Reid and wife Lois. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Aileen Winter, Alice McEarchren, Gladys Goetze, Jennie Bond, Anne Smith, Ina Brown and a brother Hugh Reid and dear friends Raymond Doughty (1993) and Carl Lister (2001). Win enjoyed her time with family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; cards and dancing were the focal point of her time with friends at the Active Lifestyle Centre, St. Andrew's Residence and the Legion. She was a lifetime member of Park Street United Church and Unit 7 of the Women's Auxiliary. Win and her family very much appreciated the support of Dr. Avril MacDonald and the staff at St. Andrew's Residence. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, February 4th at the Links of Kent Golf Course, Indian Creek Road West from 1:30 to 4:30 PM......... Margaritas provided!
